Where Synapse Chat is up to

Synapse Chat is live. The app is on the App Store and Google Play, and AHPRA verification runs inside the app.

How to sign up

1. Download the app from synapsechat.app/download on iPhone or Android.
2. Create an account with your own details.
3. Submit your AHPRA registration for verification. Joining is free (see Pricing and access) and you only need to tell us who you are and where you practise.

What happens after you apply

1. Your verification is reviewed manually. A person checks every application against the AHPRA register. There is no automated approval.
2. You are notified in the app once your verification is approved, and your verified badge appears to colleagues from then on.
3. If something needs clarifying, we will contact you. If your details change while you wait, let us know at support@synapsechat.app.

Why the review exists

A verified network is only as good as its verification. Reviewing applications by hand takes longer than an open signup, but it is what makes it safe to assume the colleague you message on Synapse Chat is genuine. See Getting verified for what the review involves.
